NSC Safety Congress & Expo 2026

The NSC Safety Congress & Expo, hosted annually by the National Safety Council, is one of the world's largest gatherings of safety, health, and environmental professionals. With a history spanning more than a century, the event drew over 12,000 attendees and more than 1,000 exhibiting companies this year, showcasing the latest products, technologies, and best practices across the occupational safety industry. The 2026 edition took place September 14–16 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

HBMEK (Hubei Mingerkang Health & Safety Appliances Co., Ltd.) was proud to exhibit at this year's show, marking our return to U.S. trade shows after a three-year gap. It was a welcome opportunity to reconnect face-to-face with longtime customers and partners, and to meet many new ones from across the industry.
To make the most of our return and to stand out among the many international exhibitors on the floor, our team approached this show with a fresh perspective. We presented ourselves under our streamlined brand name, HBMEK, for a cleaner and more memorable presence. We also redesigned our product catalog ahead of the event to better reflect our current product range and manufacturing capabilities. Perhaps most notably, our booth was conceived, sourced, and built in-house by our own team rather than outsourced to a third-party exhibition contractor—an approach that let us bring the same hands-on, detail-oriented spirit that defines our manufacturing to our presence on the show floor.

Beyond the conversations on the show floor, this year's expo offered valuable insight into how the market is evolving. Despite ongoing tariffs, broader trade tensions, and soaring shipping costs, many of our conversations with existing and prospective customers reaffirmed that China continues to be viewed as one of the most reliable and cost-competitive manufacturing bases in the world. Some Latin American customers, for example, told us that where they once imported raw materials from the U.S. to manufacture products domestically, they have since shifted to sourcing finished goods directly from China. In the U.S. market specifically, we were also approached by a number of contractors, factories, and wholesalers serving niche markets (such as automotive supplies, barber and salon supplies, etc.) exploring the feasibility of sourcing directly from the factory.
Whatever stage of that transition a customer is in, and wherever in the world they are based, HBMEK is ready to help—from small pilot orders to large-volume partnerships. We look forward to building on the connections made at NSC 2026 and to continuing to support our customers and partners around the world in the years ahead.
